Day 76

Oh my goodness... How things have changed in the last few weeks... Gavin is now getting more and more active... Sleeping less and playing more (that would be the reason for the lack of posts) I am trying to get used to his new schedule. SO far so good though. He wakes up around 9 now which means I get to sleep in. He takes about 4 hours of naps during the day and sleeps for 11 hours at night.

His spitting up is getting way better, due to the fact I started giving him baby food. I knew he was ready when he was sitting on my lap while I was eating a taco. He reached up when I was going to put in my mouth, grabbed it and put it in his mouth...He sure has come a long way with his eating. I have tons of pictures where all he would do is spit it right back out at me... Now you can't get him to spit any out. He loves squash and pears.

He is mostly sitting up on his own now. He does like to fall over at times. He loves being on his tummy now. And he is starting to lunge. Its so cute. He scared the living daylights out of himself the first time he did it though... Oh and he found his vocal chords for sure. He screaches and screams when he gets super excited. He's learned to shake his head no when I ask if he wants to take a nap. And he has been babbling Dadadadadada and Mamamamama.

Well since I haven't been on for a while, I figure I will give you guys a bunch of new pictures to look at.

Day 55

Oh no!!! Gavin is now too big for his carseat... I was asleep on Tuesday morning on the couch. Around 7 am, which is super early for Gavin to be waking, I hear him screaming. Not whining but full out screaming. So I shoot up immediately, run into his room. There is no baby in the car seat. He somehow slid him self out of it and was on his back in the crib. I swear I almost had a heart attack. I picked him up and felt the carseat and it was cold... I felt where he had been laying on the crib and it was warm... So he had to have slid out in his sleep and when he woke up was completely confused and scared. I don't blame him though. So we are working our way down from the huge incline of the car seat. Not a very fun process to say the least. But I am sure he will get used to it eventually.

I took Gavin to the doctors on Wednesday. He is spitting up ridiculous ammounts. And while I know all babies spit up, it seems to hurt him when he does. He cries when he spits up. So I have a follow up tomorrow. The doctors think it is a virus... I think its reflux. I guess we will see when we go. But the good thing out of all of this is that I get to see just how much he is growing...

Well thats about all I have for today
