Day 32 10 Feb 2009

Today was Gavins first big storm day. There was a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch. We were sitting here enjoying tummy time and the next thing I know is the front door blows open. I go outside to look and chairs are blowing across the yard. Aunt Lesley called and told me that it was hailing at her house, so I ran to move my car under cover since Daddys was already in the back. I come back in the house and I am drenched and Gavin sees me and starts laughing because I apparently looked quite amusing. (Little does he know I was almost struck by lightning running back in the house...I felt the hair stand up on the back of my neck) Two seconds later thunder boomed and he started screaming. So for a good twenty minutes he was completely inconsolable.

Of course, the stupid storm had to hit at bath time, and last until his last feeding of the day... So he didn't get his usual bath, and was unusually hard to put to sleep. Good news is though, his congestion seems to be getting better, and he isn't really wheezing too bad any more. His four month check up is on Thursday, so I will give you guys all the facts and figures then.

Oh, Gavin decided to take a really long nap this afternoon, so I called Daddy and had him wake the boy up. Oh and did Gavin wake right up. He was extremely disappointed though that Daddy wasn't there to get him out of bed. But you have to make due with what you got I guess.

Goodnight

Rae
