Day 55

Oh no!!! Gavin is now too big for his carseat... I was asleep on Tuesday morning on the couch. Around 7 am, which is super early for Gavin to be waking, I hear him screaming. Not whining but full out screaming. So I shoot up immediately, run into his room. There is no baby in the car seat. He somehow slid him self out of it and was on his back in the crib. I swear I almost had a heart attack. I picked him up and felt the carseat and it was cold... I felt where he had been laying on the crib and it was warm... So he had to have slid out in his sleep and when he woke up was completely confused and scared. I don't blame him though. So we are working our way down from the huge incline of the car seat. Not a very fun process to say the least. But I am sure he will get used to it eventually.

I took Gavin to the doctors on Wednesday. He is spitting up ridiculous ammounts. And while I know all babies spit up, it seems to hurt him when he does. He cries when he spits up. So I have a follow up tomorrow. The doctors think it is a virus... I think its reflux. I guess we will see when we go. But the good thing out of all of this is that I get to see just how much he is growing...

Well thats about all I have for today

  1. Rachel,

Sorry to hear Gavin is a little fussy, but that comes with the territory of babies. He will be better tomorrow. I sent Aunt Elayne some of the pictures off this web, since she doesn't have a computer. I had to snail mail them to her.

Keep the photos and the news coming.

  2. Rae,

Hope everything is going good. I know things get hectic sometimes. Now that you live in Texas you have to follow the locals, tradition's you have to dress Gavin up and take him out to the blue bonnet patches along the road and set him in the middle of them and take his picture in the blue bonnets. Love you.
